Peter Sullivan, Driving The Auburn

Join us for an intimate luncheon and author talk from author Peter Sullivan.  His novel, Driving the Auburn, was publishied in 2023 by NFB Publishing Amelia Press.

"If the stories were true, they should not be repeated. That’s what some said. Words were pushed underwater repeatedly, only to resurface dripping wet, blurring the lines of truth.

How was it that a farmer became a double agent, sailed to Ireland, and released a freedom fighter?

The effort to hide stories strains the best of relationships from one generation to the next. The energy to reveal the truth takes persistence and resilience.

Now three generations later, the history of the Donohoe family is revisited.

In the end, it is love that endures." --from Amazon.com book page

Peter Sullivan is the author of the novel Paddy O’Neil’s Trunk (2017).  He has published short fiction in literary journals including Imprint, Turtlequill, and Hektoen International. He obtained a Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Illinois in 1969 and worked for many years as a psychotherapist and as an adjunct social work professor.  He lives with his wife in Bay St Louis, Mississippi, and Rochester, New York.
